Website Support Assistant (Remote)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Website Support Assistant to join our remote team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining digital platforms, resolving technical issues efficiently, and supporting our mission of “Helping People, Changing Lives” by ensuring our community has seamless access to vital resources via pcceo.org.
Responsibilities
Monitor and update website content, including program announcements, community news, and event calendars.
Manage digital support requests related to website forms, newsletter sign-ups, and user accessibility issues.
Troubleshoot basic site errors, broken links, and technical glitches to ensure a smooth user experience.
Document common technical issues and assist in updating internal knowledge base or “Frequently Asked Questions” sections.
Maintain professionalism and empathy when communicating with community members and staff via email or chat.
Coordinate with departments like Head Start and Energy Assistance to ensure their specific web pages are accurate and up-to-date.
Ensure data privacy by following company procedures for handling information gathered through cookies and web forms.
Required Qualifications
1+ year of experience in web support, digital customer service, or a help desk environment.
Basic technical knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., Firespring, WordPress) and web troubleshooting.
Strong written communication and the ability to explain technical steps to non-technical users.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple update requests simultaneously.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
Reliable internet connection and computer access.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within a non-profit or community action agency setting.
Familiarity with Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar ticketing systems for managing site requests.
Knowledge of digital outreach tools and electronic newsletter platforms.
Strong time management and adaptability to shifting community needs.
